Michael Root, chocolatier, began working with chocolate in 2007 and has been perfecting his craft ever since. He is a graduate of the Professional Chocolatiering Program through the Ecole Chocolat, Professional School of Chocolate Arts. He has also participated in various chocolate workshops and conferences throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Michael has always loved a good chocolate, but became truly passionate about it in 2007 during a chocolate tasting with his wife. He was blown away by the depth of flavor and the richness of texture in the gourmet chocolate bars they sampled; it was a magical experience. To this day, every piece of chocolate he makes is an expression of that first moment, a way to articulate how he felt and to share that enchantment with others.
